The exhaust gases are vented through what is called a "platypus".
High heat resistant "bricks" (not really brick's, nickname) which are flattened
to the width of the aircraft's fuselage. It doen't flow over the airframe.

The storage facility for a Nighthawk is cooled for two reasons. One of which is the
avionics onboard. The other has to do with the RAM (radar absorbtion material) coating.
It get's REAL hot out in the sun

Bird's that are used for display at airshows have those particular avionics removed.
