According to Aviation Week, someone got a "kill" on a Raptor at Red Flag this week. Apparently, the F-22 pilot thought the engagement was over, and that the Reds had left the fight. However, a single Aggressor doubled back and was able to sneak in a shot from behind. It was a case of a pilot being pretty lax in his SA, but a kill is a kill. Someone on another forum mentioned that perhaps this might be the biggest true danger to Raptor pilots in combat: complacency, from growing accustomed to the near-invincibility they've enjoyed in training. Sorry, I don't have the link handy, but it was the new issue of Aviation Week. - Chris M.
