When I saw them last Sunday, they were towing the Raptors to the tarmac in front of Base Operations. Four across, three deep. It was quite a sight! I'll be heading back to Hickam today, performing honey-do projects, so I'll keep an eye out.
I'd love to get pictures of the Raptors, but the only way that will happen is if I camp out at the little man-made peninsula jutting out into Hickam Harbor (N21.316044 W157.953627) with my Canon D10 and the IS 80-200mm F2.8 with a 2x teleconverter (effective focal length/aperature is 640mm F5.6). From that location there is an beautiful, unobstructed view of the taxiway and threshold to Runway 8R (Reef Runway), the usual departure runway for fighters. I've taken some amazing from there!
