I was flying a charter the other day from El Paso to Reno and as we were passing over Vegas at 41,000 feet we could see Groom Lake for more than 30 minutes. Just west of Vegas ATC had us start our turn further northwest bound and that gave us awesome views of all the Nellis ranges including Creech and Tonopah AFB.

On the way back we filed Reno - Wilson Creek - El Paso and that took us along the northen edge of the Ranges. It was dark but we noticed lots of traffic in the MOAs.
