Short answer: No. I would not worry about the trunking system. The Groom trunking is encrypted anyway, and can not be decoded. The only system you can pick up with a trunking scanner is the NTS/Nellis system. Which is difficult to pick up on the north side of the ranges. And trunking scanners capable of receiving the NTS system are very expensive.
