I think the "Area S" listed in the links means an area of the FAA.gov site, not a secret base. If you notice, a few spaces above, under "Public Access" there is a listing called "Area P." Likely, P=public, S=secure or sensitive or something along those lines.

What I find interesting is that a governmental agency (the FAA) is using the term "Area 51" on an official website. The government typically avoids mentioning the base at all, and if it's forced to, it prefers a more nebulous reference. "Operating location near Groom Lake," etc.

This is interesting.
