I'm a little confused about the concept of a plane "running in to it's own bullets". If you are riding in a car at 60mph and you fire a gun forward at 1000fps, the bullet travels at 100fps + 60mph. The speed of the vehicle is added to the speed of the projectile. Does that relationship change when the vehicle reaches the speed of sound? Lumpy
