We routinely file a FOIA request regarding dates and objectives of upcoming Red Flag exercises each year, to post the information on this site.

Last year we sent our FOIA request to HQ ACC/SCXP (FOIA), 180 Benedict Ave. Ste 210, Langley AFB, VA 23665. We were informed that they were not "the releasing authority for these documents", and that we needed to contact 99 CS/SCBR (FOIA), 4375 N. Washington Blvd., Nellis AFB, NV, 89191 instead.

So, this year, we thought we were smarter, and contacted the Nellis FOIA office directly (on Oct. 14, 2006). Yesterday we were informed that we needed to contact HQ ACC/SCXP (FOIA), 180 Benedict Ave. Ste 210, Langley AFB, VA 23665 instead.

Who says the Air Force does not have a sense of humor...
