The static display B1B at the EDW open house had a Boeing IR pod mounted. It is something under design. If you went underneath the plane, it had instrumentation sensors applied to the airframe.

You never know if these displays are intentional screw ups or not. However, initially the area under this pod was not roped off. Later I heard on the EDW trunk system that they needed to rope off part of the B1B from the crowd. I suspect this was the section they had to rope off.

While they could have removed the pod, it had about 20 cables going to it, so it would take some work to install afterwards.
