Lockheed gets the job.

This means:
1 The system will be delivered 20 years late.
2 It will be 400-800% over budget.
3 It will be so overweight that it will carry only one passenger.
4. It will fail to meet any specification.

The contract will be renegotiated because political connections will demand it.

In the 1950s Lockeed could produce the C-130.

In the 1990s, the C-130J upgrade was a fiasco.

More welfare for America's most incompetent company.
