As stated in previous posts the town of Rachel was not sold. The RV park and the Quik Pik were sold. I was there last week and to the best of my knowledge all the residents that lived in the RV park with the exception of one who had made plans to leave before the sale have found other spots in Rachel to live. The Quik Pik has no plans to close and is open and operating as usual.
Their is a rumor that the base may be for sale as it is an underused piece of real estate. A Las Vegas developer is trying to get it rezoned as residential and wants to put low priced retirement condos on the property.
