I got the coordinates of the crash off the scanner. [Sorry, the recorder wasn't on.] The coordinates I copied are wrong as they were east of Alamo, not Tonopah.

The flag was effectively shut down after the crash since rescue operations would be effected. IIRC, one a-10 and the CH-47s were kept in the area. The after-flag bombing party still went on. There was smoke on the ground. The AWACS did a roll-call at the time to insure all planes in the flag were accounted for, just in case.

The plane spotted was civilian. Are all the Beech Janets at LAS?
