The notams end at 1:30AM Vegas time, so what you heard was odd but not unreasonable. From what I've seen of Red Flag, the bombing is done after the main exercise. That is, most of the planes RTB, but a few stick around and bomb targets. It is kind of interesting radio traffic as the coordinates are called out in lat/lon, and the coords often match targets on the topo map. The scanner traffic on the bombing runs will mention BDA (as in Bee Dee A) and DMPI (pronounced dim-pee). For some reason DMPI isn't in the brevity code list, but it stands for Designated Mean Point of Impact.
