this is a bizarre idea but it is worth some thought. Geophysical companies use towed behind torpedoes for different kind of geophysics largely volcanic and precious metal surveys. You know how people can see one object, get tunnel vision and create conspiracy theroies. They are toed behind helocopters all the way until they land at the airport.
