I think it would depend a lot on what sort of aircraft the large bird was and how close in trail the first smaller aircraft was behind the larger one. Also, what did the bigger aircraft look like? Did it have the appearance of a conventional Boeing 747? (That is, larger swept wing mid-fuselage with a conventional tail section) or was the aircraft long and slender with a very large delta-shaped main wing near the aft end of the fuselage?
