I grew up in the Simi/Thousand Oaks area, and worked in Agoura/Calabasas when I was younger.

When I initially read the report, I was thinking the same thing. Heading away from 101 if traveling from Calabasas to Westlake is definitely the wrong direction.

There are a lot of "shortcuts", though, and those canyon roads have claimed many lives.
