There is typically less activity at Nellis on weekends. But there is a Weapons School exercise currently going on, so you might be in luck. Best places are north at LV Blvd and Hollywood, and south around the golf course near Nellis and Cheyenne.

You can take photos of the Janet terminal and aircraft from various locations along Haven St. and Hacienda. See the map in the attached link. Watch out for construction equipment on Hacienda.
