Air would be a bad choice, because there are too many variables, not to mention wind shears over Salt Lake.
Also routing over large populated areas wouldn't be possible to avoid.

Train is a better choice, yet freight trains can derail; however it's safer than air or over the road
because freight routings can be strictly controlled, travel through mostly isolated areas, and it can be militarily protected without arousing much public notice by troops posing as railroad crew in civilian attire.

Overland by highway would take us 10 years, provided if we travelled day and night, and again would draw too much public attention.

Given the choices, what would you chose?

There are choices I've not mentioned, too.

Perhaps the loads could be disguised as foodstuffs
that way no one would notice much and
you guys watching the military base gates would
thing that it's just another load of stuff for the PX Commisary or Exchange.

Put it on barges run it down the East Coast, across the Gulf, re-enter through the Canal, truck it up into California and across the desert and in through the back door, hmmm, ??

KEEP YOUR EYES & EARS OPEN, you can never tell what
may Sneak past you at the Stroke of Midnight....
