Coming in from the east (Alamo Road), I managed to see two of those litter barrels (presumably marked with a number, but too far away to tell) to show the presence of the DOD. I didn't spot any infrastructure.

I inquired at the park office and was told they needed money to repair the road, and closed it midway because it was a combination of being too remote and too poor of condition to allow the general public to travel.
