The wonderful thing about a conspiracy theory is that no matter how factual the explanation is debunking it, the explanation itself becomes part of the conspiracy. Lazar contrived the conspiracy; a lot of foolish people who practice magical thinking bought into it; and thus it will live forever. No amount of factual evidence or education will kill it.
