It's hard to see in the photo, but I believe N4529W had the 290 nose number while it was flying for Western Airlines. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I believe commercial airliners carry three-digit nose numbers that often differ from the registration number. It was something I wondered about when I worked at Burbank Airport.
