On the contrary Alamo and Hiko were their way before their were sonic booms. They are both old farming and cattle communities. Alamo goes back to 1900 and Hiko in the 1880s. The purpose of my posting was intended to be general information about the area not a knock on Nellis or the people of either community. On my many trips to Rachel and the area I have stayed at the Meadow Lane in Alamo. They have experienced many broken windows and cracks in the walls do to sonic booms. They have told me that Nellis has been very responsive to their inquiries and has always made every effort to satisfy them.
