Hey Andy, I got an idea...

How about we get a group together, park about 200 yards or so away from the main gate, close enough to insure that we are being watched by security without stirring up any trouble. Grill up a boatload of burgers, ribs, brisket, hot dogs. Eat some ourselves, then package up the rest of it and place it at the "gate," along with a cooler full of ice-cold beer. Put a "Thank-You" card on it, then leave. I think it is safe to say that the "package" will be retrieved and provide a welcome, off-duty meal for the folks who sit out in the desert for endless hours, guarding a non-existent "gate" in what must be the worlds most boring job.

This is the kind of gesture that makes a job seem worthwhile. I'm sure they get paid very well, but there is more to job satisfaction than cash (I hurt my brain trying to think of examples, though...).

Anybody interested?
