According to the LM website, dated February 5...

"The other requirement, initiation of
radar cross section (RCS) testing,
which validates the aircraft's
"stealthiness", was satisfied in the
last few weeks. The actual date of
the test is classified.

"The RCS characteristics of the F-22
are some of the most advanced in the
world," said Jabour. "Combine this
stealth capability with the F-22's
first look, first shot, first kill
capability and you have the premiere
fighter aircraft in the world for the
next 20 years."

Perhaps the F-22 visit to Groom is for the RCS testing against real world Soviet and American radar systems in real world flying conditions. Is anyone going to be in the area this week, and can get down to the Back gate for a look see?
