The FAA uses the word "unreliable" for jamming, and the distance is huge, i.e. hundreds of miles. I had the (dis)pleasure to be driving with jamming going on. The jaming wasn't such that you would get lost, but rather the moving map display as I was driving was rotating back and forth. There is no reason to think this is the only style of jamming the DOD uses.
