The FAA uses the word "unreliable" for jamming, and the distance is huge, i.e. hundreds of miles. I had the (dis)pleasure to be driving with jamming going on. The jaming wasn't such that you would get lost, but rather the moving map display as I was driving was rotating back and forth. There is no reason to think this is the only style of jamming the DOD uses.

Here is an old NOTAM:
>Oakland Center (Fremont CA) [ZOA]: March NOTAM #34 issued by Gps Notam
>GPS unreliable within a 275 nautical miles radius of LAS VEGAS / LAS /
>VORTAC (360447N/1150935W) at {flight level, Florida} 400, decreasing

>FL250, a 185 nautical miles radius at 10000 feet mean sea level, a 185
>nautical miles radius at 4000 feet above ground level and a 130
>nautical miles radius at ground level. IFR operations based upon GPS
