This incident is seen only as second to the USS Pueblo seizure as a potential for direct loss of C5 OpSec. The Navy is not sitting around waiting without getting ready for the possibility of direct confrontation. The boys have been forward deployed, and are working up plans now. If worse come to worse, the P3 will be a charred spot on the runway, and whatever unlucky Chinese are close will be toast. Too bad. Please don't think the U.S. Navy and others are not ready, willing and able to ensure this event doesn't turn out to be a intel coup for the Reds.
