Actually Joerg, I just looked at the satellite image of the guard shack area. Now I can see where my position was in relation to the border and the post occupied by the Cammos. In the top of the photo, it points to where the Cammos set up shop, just inside the border. I was seated on the roof of my car at the point where Groom Lake Road curves and goes over the border.
