I heard a similar story from an Intruder pilot who was told in a Red Flag briefing that any drivers near "the box" would be grounded and have their wings removed on the spot.
Has anyone heard the story about the F-15 that had an engine failure and made an emergency landing at Groom after being told to either return to Nellis or bail out? I know a few posters that can relate the story better than I can.
