I use the Garmin Etrex personal navigator. Its the bottom of the line yellow Garmin. I believe that you can buy them new for around $75.00 and on Ebay for less. My scanner is a Pro 26 thats milair capable. I dont think they still make them but check Ebay. Its hard to give a recommendation to someone else on scanners and a GPS as everyone has different uses for them. My GPS is the most basic but it does exactly what I want it to do. It got me from Texas Lake back to 93 at 2:00am. That was worth way more than what I paid for it.
