You are right. The new extensions to Hangar 19 proove that they are concerned about people peeking from Tikaboo. The extensions are clearly designed to keep something out of view from Tikaboo and also from satellites. OTOH I spoke with a BLM representative lately, and he was not aware of any plans to close off Tikaboo. For those who have not been up there, it is a large area that needed to be fenced off. It is not connected to the base, and the only way to enforce it is sending a chopper up there. Plus, there are other peaks at about the same distance where you have a view (ok, maybe a couple miles further away and a heck of a lot more work to get up to). Lastly, the Pahranagat Range is very much on the radar of environmentalists. If "they" take the peak, they would get a lot of unwanted publicity for Area 51.
