I wrote the original post after a 300 mile detour so I was very tired. Let me be more clear:

A chunk of a small bridge is missing on the North bound lane of Hwy 93 just North of Hwy 168. The "crater" is about 12 feet long at the shoulder and cuts a few feet into the South bound lane in a "V" shaped wedge. Highway Patrol was letting people walk on the bridge but we stayed about 25 feet in case more broke away. The hole was at least 10 foot deep but I couln't see the bottom from my distance. I would be very suprised if Nevada DOT gets it rebuilt today -or tomorrow for that matter... Highway Patrol did have a road block at the I-15/Hwy 93 exit when we passed at 2:30am so at least you wouldn't get too far if you didn't know about it. OK hope this helps...

PS Rachel had heavy overcast with thunderstorms yesterday afternoon. We didn't see or hear squat flying above.
