It is not unusual for the AF to have no response to rumors, questions of truth or accusations. Any response, yea or ney, has implications, especially when considered in combination with other responses. Additionally, by ignoring a rumor or questions they maintain control and suggest the rumor or question does not warrant an answer, a psychological denial of worthiness. Your question suggests you think you can draw a conclusion that Lazar must have been truthful since the AF did not answer. Unfortunately, that simply is not true.
