When you camp at the TTR, you can see commercial aircraft fly at all hours. It's quite a busy route. From the air, it is easy to spot Mud Lake. The times I've flown by I didn't see the base itself (too high, too hazy).

If you do ACARS, Tonopah gets quite a bit of traffic.
