When you visit areas where the camo dudes don't usually hang out, they often drive right past you to get to their "perch."

Better yet, some of their perches are on public land, so you can park in "their" spot. Hawkeye Hill is one such place, though you have to hike there rather than drive.

I think in general the camo dudes like the visitors. The vast majority of visitors don't cross the line, are unarmed (i.e. present no threat), and give the dudes no trouble whatsoever. The visitors give the dudes something to do. Otherwise they would have to sit in the shack all day and watch games shows or Oprah. [They do have small satellite dishes on their shacks which are for, let's see, watching CNN in times of an emergency. Yeah that it.]
