Those are craters.

That's part of the National Test Site.

It nearly glows in the dark.

I'ts only a mountian range or two from Groom.

Those roads are not often traveled, but when they are the vehicles do so swftly, for the purpose of taking measurements, and the vehicles are thoroughly washed dows after every passage.

That provides very effective border security, does it not?

Keep looking there's all sorts of things out there... nothing exactly mysterious, but highly interesting...
