At this point I'll bow out because I've run into people who simply cannot be convinced that what they saw was a normal occurence no matter what is suggested, i.e. the discussion becomes a total waste of time. I gave it my "nice try."

Note that whacking some random car with an energy beam, sound weapon, etc. is not particularly useful for the government. Any time you do a test, you need to look at what you tested. Now darn, it just isn't any fun if the test vehicle drives away.

Regarding not getting a room in Vegas, it helps to check to see if there are any large conventions in town. There are all sorts of website that have this infromation. Consider large to be about 50k. Vegas can absorb quite a crowd.
