I'm going to try to get some Red flag photos in early april. I'm going to give powerline overlook a try this time. The shots from Cedar Ranch are pretty long distance. I'm also going to spot meter when taking "flag" photos. Generally, taking a photo with a lot of sky and a small image of a plane tends to underexpose the film if the capturing the plane was the intent. Maybe exposure compensation by 1/2 a stop would be better. The sky would be over exposed bou the plane would have more detail.

Someone with a video camera could get some interesting shots since the planes are chasing each other, i.e. doing mock dog fights.
