A very foolish editor of "Populkar Mechanics" magazine got lost looking for Area 51. He took the wrong road and came to a locked gate on the edge of the Nellis Range. Seeing no activity, he concluded that Area 51 was abandoned. Displaying a complete lack of investigative abilities, he decided that the testing activities had moved to Green River Utah (right next to highway 70!) or possibly Colorado. All of his assertions have been easily debunked.

Since the article was published, gound observations and satellite photography over the last several years have clearly shown that the Groom Lake test facility is extremely active.
