Afriad? Are police afraid? Are solders afraid? A firearm is nothing more that a tool. Any tool can have a constructive or a destructive use. There is nothing to be afraid of, just things to be prepared for.

Given the points raised in this string- I would still rather be prepared for a determined preditor than be standing there with just my stick in my hand.
