Nearly all the photographs on the net of Red Flag planes are from Coyote Summit. [OK, those ones with the landing gear showing are from Nellis.] So yes, you will see something, but how close is another story.

Here is a tip: a lens less that 300mm is probably a waste of time. If you don't have big glass, you can probably rent a lens. I haven't done this in Vegas, but a $2000 lens rents for maybe $50 to $75 a day in the SF Bay Area.
