I tried the drive to Tikaboo once in March. Let's just say if you want to photograph cactus with snowed piled on top, that would be the place and the time. If you don't have one, I'd suggest getting an external antenna for your cellphone. At least if you are stuck, you can get some help. I don't recall using it on the way to Tikaboo, but I have used the external antenna to make calls from the power line overlook. The antenna is "universal", but you need a specific cable for your particular phone.
