Nellis AFB is on the list of possible base closures for 2005.

A link is attached, but there are several sites that have same info. Nellis is being choked by spread of subdivisions/population and maintaining security is becoming more difficult. Weapons training school may be moved to Tonapah(certainly more isolated) or Fallon (Navy's weapons training-"Top Gun" school location).
