The "nuclear explosion" (really nuclear like) scheme was discussed on Coast to Coast maybe two months ago. There is a patent for such an application, but of course that doesn't mean it has even been tested. [You can patent all sorts of useless stuff. See link.] Moon bouncing radio waves is quite real, but the loss is extremely high. I doubt you could get significant energy from a moon bounce. The NSA used to bounce signals off the moon. It require a large dish just to be able to transmit a signal strong enough to tickle a receiver. There are hams into moon bounce comminications, which you could google as EME {Earth-Moon-Earth).

The positive ion generator for warfare was a more recent Coast to Coast guest, but not a very credible one. I wouldn't believe it was used in Iraq.
