Hello! I reciently moved to Las Vegas and have always been intrigued with the Area 51 Base. Now I finally got to see the border and I can't wait til spring when the Tikaboo Peak is all good to hike.

Before I went out to the base for the first time, I came across this site for some background info. I figured any tips would help. This website was a BIG HELP. Thank You.

I too also like to watch what comes out of Nellis AFB. I found a spot where one can see the different aircraft come and go from the base. If you are interested in this, the spot is a roadside gravel stop along Las Vegas Blvd, just past the Las Vegas Speedway. The coordinates are N-36deg. 16min. 46.8sec W-114deg. 59min. 09.2sec. You may already know this, and if you do.. My bad... But if not, check it out. You'll be about 5 miles out, but your somewhat elevated above the runways, so you'll be able to see them. If you have binoculars, take them. I have a pair of 8 power binocs and I could see them beautifully.

Once again, thanks for the info on the website.
