OT - Meteor?

Good morning, all. This has nothing to do with A-51, but I had to share. While walking my dogs this AM, at around 5:55 EST I was suddenly illuminated, as was everything else around me, as if a flashbulb had gone off. I looked up just in time to see a meteor/fireball burning up in the sky! I have seen some spectacular meteor showers, but only once before have I seen anything that lit up the night like this. As if that weren't enough, it left an illuminated trail, kind of deep bluish/green in its wake for approximately 10 seconds. As the color faded, what was left behind was like a vapor trail, which began to twist, I guess from air currents. What a spectacular sight! What I wondered is if anyone knows of a website that documents sightings like this? BTW, I live on the SE coast, and this was in the S to SE sky. Anyway, thanks for letting me get this out -- the dogs weren't nearly as impressed as I was and I needed to share.
