I noticed the State of Nevada has been granted some new radio tower permits by the FCC. Ok, you are yawning over this news, but one is on the way to "road block canyon" (N37 20 20.9 W115 36 07.0). The other tower is at N37 20 20.9 W115 15 36.1, about 5 miles east of Tikaboo Peak. It should have good coverage for the roads leading to the staging area for the Tikaboo hike.
