Well, they don't appear to be true triangular planforms - they clearly have a nose section forward of the leading edge of the wing. The video also appears to show at least hints of vertical stabilizers. I think the F-14 hypothesis is at least plausible, and they seem too small for Vulcans. I imagine, Steve, that you had a much closer view than is apparent in the video - were you able to make out vertical surfaces?
