I've been out to Rachel once, back in 2001, but it was more of just a "been there, done that" visit. I'd like to come back out when some of you more experienced guys will be around. I've read many of the trip reports and think it would be interesting to have some "pros" show me the ropes. I don't have the optical equipment, but I am a camper and have plenty of that sort of stuff. I also wouldn't be a burden to anybody, as I would gladly pull my own weight and observe all the rules of common sense. I was hoping to plan something for 2005. That would give me plenty of time to develop relationships with people on here that might also be planning a trip. Any thoughts/comments?
