Not being a pilot myself, but familiar with most of the terminology; When viewing an ILS or TACAN approach chart for a given facility, there are DME distances given for particular points, some with LAT/LON coordinates, others with just a name and DME (slant) distance. Question is; do the names have any significance to visual landmarks, and is this information available online? Question 2; If the latest version of the approach charts (Aug. 5th) show that the approaches have been *CHANGED*, is there any way to find the previous version, i.e., an archive or?
