Pretty entertaining thread. Here is a slightly different question. In the history of the USA, has any secret base (USAF, Marine, etc) become declassified but remained operational? Now there are cases of cold war shelters that were classified but later shut down and even sold. In fact one became a bank data vault. If a secret base has ever become declassified, when can we get on base for the Operation at Groom Lake Air Show. And what plane will the Groom air exposition team, the Cammo Flyers, use? Fastmover? ;-) All kidding aside, I can't think of a single case where this happened. In fact, are they any other secret bases other than Groom? [Please don't use the line "yeah, but it's a secret."]
